Great fried seafood. Fresh and Hot. Not many people know about this place yet, but is heading towards the right direction. Great food, great service and very clean facility. Keep up the good work! Recommended, prices are lower than any other seafood place around.

I am a seafood lover and I came across this restaurant on Facebook so I thought I'll go and check it out..OMG I don't know where to start, because everything was excellent. I ordered the Captain Platter and it was soo fresh ,hot, delicious and the price was amazingly cheap. I once was a fan of Red Lobster not anymore Golden Bay is my New seafood spot. If you don't believe me go check it out for yourself. You will truly change your mind about going to any other seafood restaurant. I give this place 10 ⭐ and 10 thumbs up👍❤

This is little treasure right in Irmo. Popped up as a suggestion on my google maps and my wife and I decided to give it a try. Heather was a wonderful waitress. She was very attentive and checked on us regularly throughout our meal. I ordered a three piece combination of baby shrimp,oysters and scallops. All three were delicious. My wife ordered a platter with shrimp, flounder,oysters, deviled crab and a stuffed claim and it was also delicious. We both ordered salads ,which were fresh, and our meal was brought to us before we finished our salads. We both left full and satisfied with to go boxes. We usually go to the Blue Ocean in Clinton for seafood this good but from now on we will be coming back to the Golden Bay. Don't let the building fool you,I think this used to be a Mexican restaurant but the the seafood is really good !

The food is incredible. It does not take very long to get your order. And the owners and staff are extremely nice. They make you feel like a part of their family.We visit here about three or four times a month and have yet to be disappointed.

Was driving home to Atlanta and wanted seafood for lunch. Found this place and ordered takeout.We were very impressed with the staff and workers who were taking beyond steps for COVID. Masks, gloves, and spaced out seating. Bathrooms and restaurant were extremely clean. We have walked out of places without ordering if no one is wearing masks, and honestly, we would have been very comfortable eating in at this place.The food was delicious! I got a platter with shrimp and deviled crab and my husband got catfish and clam strips. Hushpuppies were cooked perfectly and even the fries were good. Husband really enjoyed the coleslaw, I like a bit more vinegar but that is a personal preference and in no way the restaurant's fault. Please give this place a chance because you will not be disappointed. We now have a permanent lunch spot on our next drive.

Service was good but the food wasn't

My husband requested seafood for his birthday so I was on the search for GREAT seafood with family friendly prices and atmosphere, this restaurant fit the bill! Had a large group of 14 adults and 2 children (they are able to accommodate groups this large and larger!) and every single person LOVED their dinner. We ordered a large variety from the menu including: ribeye, oysters, fried onion, crab cakes, shrimp, flounder and perch. Portion size is huge and great for sharing! Not one single complaint to be had. Waitress was great! Every order was correct and the food came out all together and everything was hot! Price point won't break the bank: Pick 3 fried items $13.89 or pick 3 broiled $17.89 which is more than reasonable. New family favorite!

Great place to eat, food is fresh, staff is friendly. Andre was our server today. He checked with us often to make sure we were okay. Not a fancy place but clean. We always come here when in Columbia SC. This ace is a must for seafood

This was my family's first time going here. The food is great with very generous portions and the staff is amazing. Def our new favorite restraunt!

Fresh shrimp fried beautifully served with very fresh salad and steamed veggies. Sea scallops well seasoned and butter broiled. Friendly attentive service. We will be back!

Service was great, prices were really good, food was delicious. The prices were so good, we ordered three appetizers. The food was very fresh and we left the restaurant full and very happy with our choice. I wish I was local, I would return often.

Don't let the outside fool you because it's an older building. It's clean, they have great seafood, and outstanding service. Highly recommend. We will go back!

This was one of the Best meals I've had in a long time and the service was outstanding

First off, they wouldn't allow you to add scallops on a combo platter after advertising to add scallops for $2.99. Then we ordered the biggest platter they had which was fish,deviled crab, stuffed scallop, oysters, baby shrimp and big shrimp. We got 1 piece of fish, 3 medium sized shrimp, 3 small oysters, a deviled crab, a stuffed scallop, and a massive amount of the tiny salad shrimp. Told the manager of being dissatisfied with the meal and why and he just walked to the next table to ask them how their meal was. Do yourself a favor and go to a real seafood place that knows the definition of a seafood platter. That was what was left of the salad shrimp after finishing her meal

Great little seafood establishment. Obviously not well known or else it would be more crowded. Great seafood and wonderful service. Prices are VERY reasonable. Have been here several times and the food is ALWAYS good. The atmosphere is casual, food is always good and service on point. Will definitely be back!

Very clean and organized restaurant. Service was quick and server was friendly and courteous. Food came out quickly and was hot and delicious. The flounder was mouth watering good. They have a nice menu with plenty to choose from. And the prices are very reasonable. The restaurant is decorated nicely throughout. Great job folk's!

Great food, generous helpings, nice people

Was seated right away, i ordered the catfish meal with a loaded baked potato. My food was brought nice and hot, catfish fillets,hush puppies, coleslaw and potato. Every bite was delicious and tasty. The potato was wrapped in foil and when unwrapped was soft and tender with melted cheese on top. Butter and sour cream were also delivered .

Food was good and fresh! Came out hot and great experience for my first trip.

Eating fried sea food; you don't know what to expect... will it all be breading, is there flavor? THIS PLACE IS EXCELLENT!! Light on the breading and packed with great flavor! I followed the waiter's suggestion for adding tossed cracked pepper and salt; it was not overwhelming, but a nice kick to the food. I was too full for dessert, but I will be back... maybe next time. The waiter was very attentive. Thank you for a great dinner.

Huge restaurant, first red flag was my client & I were the only 2 customers! Large food portions, but only some prices in/on menu ARE NOT correct!! My shrimp platter was listed for $6 - listed on menu correctly. But my client asked for Golden Platter, which menu stated was $9 but only her drink was correct as they charged her $19 for that platter!! She took half her plate home for later, but all I ate were my French fries - too much breading on too little popcorn shrimp. So our meal with tea & lemonade ended up $32!!! If you're craving fresh seafood, I advise trying Ocean View on Broad River Road! My friend & I both eat there for $15, & portions large enough we rarely can eat it all!

Only calabash style seafood in the area. Staff is very friendly and food is good. They typically have a crab leg special that is tasty and reasonably priced. Highly recommend!

Second time going and decided to order the shrimp alfredo, please dont waste your $11 dollars on this ...over priced dishes for the quality. My alfredo came wrapped in foil and a small portion with no taste blan. The so call bread on the side was a joke also. They need to remove this dish or improve it or ,I suggest you going to Oliver garden if your going to pay almost Olive garden price for this type of quality. Low quality and small portion of low quality and misleading menu description is what cause this review. Do better

The broiled salmon was not over cooked, was flaky, and flavorful. The house salad is basic, but crisp and the dressing was home made (ranch). The hush puppies are delicious. A very enjoyable meal.

Great food at a good price, Wait staff was on the ball with refills and everything else. Food was cooked to perfection. We came from the other side of Lexington to try it out. We will be back. Job well done.
